Uninstalling ResRequest
41.1. Uninstalling ResRequest
To remove ResRequest from your computers, you have to do the following:
For Workstations (XP):
- Go to My Computer > C:\ > Windows > System32 > drivers > etc.
- You should see a file called hosts
- Open the file (select to use Notepad to view the file)
- Then please look for entries that reference resrequest e.g. 192.168.0.1 resrequest
- Delete all lines that reference ResRequest and then save and close the file.
- You may now delete the icons on your desktop and restart your machine.
For Workstations (Vista and above):
- Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories find notepad, then right click and select Run as administrator
- Once notepad is opened, go to File > Open, then under File name copy and paste the following C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.
- Then please look for entries that reference resrequest e.g. 192.168.0.1 resrequest
- Delete all lines that reference ResRequest and then save and close the file.
- You may now delete the icons on your desktop and restart your machine.
For the ResRequest Server:
- Go to Control Panel > Add\Remove programs
- Look for Apache on the list of programs, select it and then click on Remove program. You may also choose to manually delete Apache by deleting the Apache Group folder in My Computer > C:\ > Program Files
- Once the uninstaller has finished, please look for Mysql. You may also manually remove this program by deleting the mysql folder in My Computer > C:\
- Then also go to My Computer > C:\ and delete the php folder.
- Go to My Computer > C:\ > Windows > System32 > drivers > etc.
- You should see a file called hosts
- Open the file (select to use Notepad to view the file)
- Then please look for entries that reference resrequest e.g. 127.0.0.1 resrequest
- Delete all lines that reference ResRequest and then save and close the file.
- You may now delete the icons on your desktop and restart your machine.
