11.12. Tax Group

Tax group

Tax groups represent a grouping of individual tax rates, which may be applied to a rate component. For example, a component may be subject to VAT, Catering levy and Service charge.

Main screen

From this screen you can create tax groups. Click on the 'Tax rates' button attach individual tax rates.

Field	Description	Notes
Description	The name of the tax group
Abbreviation	A short name to be used in various system screens and reports.
Inactive	Flag indicating whether the tax group is currently in use.

Pop-up screen

From this screen you can add any number of tax rates.

Field	Description	Notes
Tax rate	A record may be selected from the 'Tax rate' code table.
