11.9. Rate Group

Rate group

A rate group defines a guest classification for which a specific rate may be defined, e.g. Adult, Child 12-17, Child <12, Tour guide.

Field	Description	Notes
Description	The name of the rate group	The system does not allow deletion of the 'Adult' rate group. The name of the group may be changed.
Abbreviation	A short name to be used in various system screens and reports.
Classification	Each rate group must be classified as either 'Adult' or 'Child'.	System reports use this field when compiling statistics on adult and child occupancies.
Inactive	Flag indicating whether the rate group is currently in use.
